CompTIA Security+ is the premier global certification establishing the essential skills required for core security functions and a career in IT security — often considered the first security certification a professional should earn, and foundational to many other cybersecurity roles. It covers the CIA triad (confidentiality, integrity, availability), authentication and access control, threat management, cryptography basics, and network security, with genuine emphasis on hands-on, practical problem-solving.

This course builds toward that same real foundation, specifically for support technicians who are often an organization’s actual first line of defense: recognizing phishing and social engineering, malware identification and response, access control basics, password and authentication security, and incident response fundamentals.
