Roblox is both a platform and a collection of individual experiences. A problem can affect the whole platform, only login or chat, or just one popular game.
These steps apply to Roblox on PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Xbox, and web browsers.

Use this if Roblox will not load, an experience is stuck on the loading screen, chat or login fails, or an error code appears and you are not sure whether the outage is local or platform-wide.
Check the official status page
Roblox’s status page is the best first check because it separates platform services.
- Open status.roblox.com in a browser.
- Check login, website, game servers, chat, and related services.
- Look for outage or degraded performance labels.
- Check the timestamp to confirm the issue is current.
- Use Downdetector as a secondary signal for spikes in player reports.
- Check Roblox’s official social channels during major incidents.
If Roblox confirms an active outage, wait. Local app resets and router changes will not repair a platform-side incident.
Rule out a local cause
If Roblox status is normal, test your device and connection.
- Fully close the Roblox app or browser tab.
- Reopen Roblox and try again.
- Check for an app update in the App Store, Google Play, Microsoft Store, or Roblox launcher.
- Restart the router by unplugging it for about one minute.
- Try a different Roblox experience.
- Sign out of the Roblox account and sign back in.
If most experiences work and only one fails, that individual game or server is likely the problem rather than Roblox as a whole.
Network blocks and exact error codes
Roblox often fails on school, work, and public Wi-Fi because those networks block game traffic. If Roblox works on home Wi-Fi or mobile data but not on that network, the block is intentional or policy-based.
Roblox traffic is heavier during afternoons, evenings, and weekends in the United States. Popular experiences can lag or refuse new players during busy periods even when the core platform is healthy.
If you see a numbered error code, search that exact code on Roblox Support. Codes such as 267 and 524 mean different things than connection errors, so the exact number matters.
