Roblox Keeps Crashing on Your Phone? How to Fix It

Roblox mobile crashes often come from low storage, limited memory, an outdated app, or one demanding experience pushing the phone too hard. Older phones are especially sensitive because they have less RAM for large Roblox worlds.

These steps apply to the Roblox app on iPhone, iPad, Android phones, and Android tablets.

Does this affect you?

Use this if Roblox closes by itself at launch, during loading, or a minute or two after joining an experience.

Free up storage and update the app

Low storage and old app versions are the two most common mobile causes.

  1. On iPhone, open Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
  2. On Android, open Settings > Storage. The exact path can vary by brand.
  3. Free at least 1 to 2 GB if possible.
  4. Delete large apps, photos, videos, or downloaded files you no longer need.
  5. On iPhone, use Offload Unused Apps if you want to remove apps while keeping their data.
  6. Open the App Store or Google Play Store and install any Roblox update.
  7. Restart the phone completely before testing again.

Roblox needs room to download and cache assets while you play. Having just enough space to install the app may not be enough.

Fix crashes tied to a specific game

If Roblox opens normally but one experience always crashes, that experience may be too demanding for the device.

  1. Close other background apps before launching the experience.
  2. Check the game’s page for device requirements, mobile notes, or known issues.
  3. Open the in-game settings and lower graphics quality if the experience offers it.
  4. Use a mobile version of the experience if the creator provides one.
  5. Test a simpler Roblox game to confirm the app itself is stable.

A detailed, script-heavy experience can crash an older phone even when smaller Roblox games run fine.

Reinstall Roblox

Use reinstalling when crashes happen across many games after storage and updates are fixed.

  1. Delete or uninstall the Roblox app.
  2. Restart the phone.
  3. Install Roblox again from the App Store or Google Play Store.
  4. Sign back into the same account.

Reinstalling does not remove Robux, inventory, or normal account progress because those are tied to Roblox servers.

More mobile performance checks

If the phone has only 2 to 3 GB of RAM or is several years old, some modern Roblox experiences may simply exceed its practical limit.

On iPhone, reduce background activity under Settings > General > Background App Refresh. On Android, review battery and background permissions for apps you do not need running.

Turn off Low Power Mode or Android battery saver while testing. Battery-saving modes can reduce performance and make crashes more likely.

If crashes continue, contact Roblox Support with the exact phone model, iOS or Android version, and whether the crash happens in one experience or all experiences.
