Use a chatbot directly or a study app with AI features.
- Paste your class notes, textbook excerpt, or study guide into ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude.
- Ask for flashcards with a question on one side and the answer on the other.
- Specify the format, such as 20 flashcards, question and answer only, no extra explanation.
- Try Quizlet AI tools if you want generated flashcards to land directly in a study app with quiz modes and spaced repetition.
- Use NotebookLM when you want answers grounded in uploaded PDFs, notes, or slides instead of general knowledge.
- Copy the cards into the app you actually use, or study inside the tool if it supports quizzing.
Use AI as a tutor to explain what you do not understand
This is for understanding, not just memorization.
- Describe the exact concept you are stuck on.
- Ask for a simple explanation, then ask the AI to quiz you afterward.
- If the explanation does not work, ask for a middle-school version, a real-world example, or a visual analogy.
