T-Mobile Home Internet uses a 5G gateway instead of a wired modem. Placement matters because the gateway depends on cellular signal strength before it creates your home Wi-Fi.

Use this for T-Mobile 5G Home Internet gateways, including Nokia and Arcadyan models, managed through the T-Mobile Internet app.
Set up a new gateway
Find signal first, then connect devices.
- Plug the gateway into power near a window, preferably higher in the home.
- Install the T-Mobile Internet app and sign in.
- Follow the app prompts to pair with the gateway, using automatic detection or the QR code on the gateway.
- Use the app signal check before choosing a permanent spot.
- If signal is weak, try a different window, side of the house, or higher shelf.
- Once signal is solid, connect devices to the Wi-Fi name and password on the gateway label or shown in the app.
Log into an existing gateway
Most management happens in the app.
- Open the T-Mobile Internet app while connected to gateway Wi-Fi.
- Sign in if asked.
- Use the home screen for signal strength, connected devices, and data usage.
- Open Gateway settings for Wi-Fi name, password, guest network, and supported options.
- For browser access, try 192.168.12.1 while connected to the gateway Wi-Fi.
Reset a gateway that will not connect
Use reset when the app cannot find the gateway or firmware left it stuck.
- Find the reset button, usually on the back or bottom.
- Hold it about 10 seconds until lights turn off or restart.
- Wait several minutes for the gateway to reboot and reconnect.
- Repeat app setup if it does not pair automatically.
More control
Signal placement is the biggest speed factor
If speed drops, rerun the app signal check and test another location before changing settings. Furniture, window direction, and tower load can matter.
Port forwarding is not supported
T-Mobile Home Internet generally runs behind carrier-grade NAT, so traditional inbound port forwarding is not available.
Keep it at the registered address
Gateways are intended for fixed home service. Moving one to another home can trigger network verification tied to the service address.
