Roblox error codes are not all connection problems. Some mean the app lost connection, while others mean a game kicked you or you do not have permission to join.
These explanations apply to Roblox on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and Xbox.

Fix connection-related error codes
Start here for codes such as 277, 279, 264, and messages about lost connection or failed connection.
- Check your internet by loading a website or another online app.
- Restart the router by unplugging it for about one minute.
- Fully close Roblox, then relaunch the app instead of immediately rejoining the same game.
- On mobile, avoid switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data during a game.
- Try a different network if you are on school, work, hotel, or public Wi-Fi.
- Check status.roblox.com for Roblox platform problems.
If Roblox fails only on one restricted network but works at home or on mobile data, that network is probably blocking Roblox traffic through a firewall or content filter.
Handle kick and permission codes: 267 and 524
These two common errors are often misunderstood because reinstalling Roblox or rebooting the router usually will not help.
- Error 267 means the game removed you. It can happen because of a rule violation, idle timeout, anti-cheat script, exploit detection, or a ban from that specific experience.
- If Error 267 happens once, try rejoining. If it repeats in only one game, check that game’s rules, group page, or ban information.
- Remove third-party exploit tools or script injectors. They can trigger anti-cheat kicks and risk your Roblox account.
- Error 524 usually means you do not have permission to join. The server may be private, VIP-only, or restricted by the creator.
- For Error 524, ask for a fresh invite link, use the account the invite was sent to, and join from the invite instead of the public game page.
If you believe the kick or permission error is wrong, contact Roblox Support with the exact code and the name of the experience.
Update or reinstall when the app is outdated
Some load-failure codes appear when Roblox is out of date or stuck after a partial update. On PC, Roblox normally updates on launch. On mobile, check the App Store or Google Play.
If updates keep failing, uninstall Roblox and install a fresh copy from roblox.com or the official app store. Your account, Robux, and most progress are stored on Roblox servers, not only on your device.
