Canon PRINT, sometimes listed as Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY, is Canon free mobile app for PIXMA, MAXIFY, and SELPHY printers. It can print photos and documents, scan from an all-in-one printer, check ink, and run maintenance from a phone.

Install the app and connect the printer
After registration, the app reconnects automatically when phone and printer are on the same Wi-Fi.
- Install Canon PRINT from the App Store or Google Play.
- Make sure the Canon printer is turned on and connected to your Wi-Fi network.
- Connect the phone to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the app and tap Add Printer or the plus icon.
- Select the printer when it appears. If it does not, tap search again or add by IP address from the printer network information page.
- After connection, use the home screen buttons for photo print, document print, scan, and ink information.
Print and scan from the app
Once the printer is added, printing and scanning are straightforward.
- For printing, tap Photo Print or Document Print, choose the file or cloud source, adjust paper and quality settings, then tap Print.
- For scanning, tap Scan, place the item on the scanner glass or feeder, choose document or photo settings, and start the scan.
- Save scans as PDF or JPEG, or share them to email, messages, files, or cloud storage.
- Use Ink Information for cartridge levels and the maintenance menu for nozzle checks or head cleaning.
More control
Printer not found
Confirm the phone and printer are on the exact same Wi-Fi and not a guest network. Older Canon printers may only support 2.4GHz, so connect the phone to that same band while adding the printer.
No router available
Use Canon Wireless Direct or Access Point Mode from the printer menu. Connect the phone Wi-Fi to the printer temporary network, then open the app. Your phone may lose normal internet during this direct connection.
Remove old printers
If the app shows an old or wrong Canon printer, delete the saved printer in app settings and add the correct one again.
Cloud printing
Canon PRINT can link cloud sources such as Google Drive or Dropbox from the file source options, which is useful when a document is not saved locally.
