YouTube TV Multiview splits the screen into multiple live feeds so you can watch several games or channels at once. Since the April 2026 update described by YouTube TV coverage, the custom builder works across the full channel lineup on every plan.
These steps apply to YouTube TV on smart TVs, Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV, phones, and tablets.

Use this if you want to watch up to four live feeds at once, build your own Multiview lineup, or troubleshoot why Multiview is missing.
Open Multiview and build a grid
- Open the YouTube TV app.
- Look for Multiview as a tab along the bottom, or press down while watching a live channel and choose Multiview.
- Browse Recommended, Sports, News, or your channel list.
- Select up to four live channels.
- Choose Watch new multiview or the on-screen start prompt.
- Use the remote arrows to highlight the panel whose audio you want.
- Press Select or OK on a highlighted panel to open it full screen.
- Press Back to return to the grid.
You can use fewer than four channels. Two games plus news, or three live events, is fine.
Add a channel while watching
- Start watching a live channel.
- Bring up the player controls.
- Choose Multiview.
- Add the current channel to a new or existing grid.
- Add more channels from the builder until you have the mix you want.
This is useful when you are already watching one event and want to add others without starting over.
Fix Multiview not showing up
- Make sure the channel is live. Multiview does not work with DVR recordings or on-demand titles.
- Update the YouTube TV app from your device app store.
- Fully close and reopen YouTube TV to refresh the channel list.
- Restart the streaming device if the tab or builder still does not appear.
- Older devices may only support limited Multiview for major events instead of the full builder.
You do not need Sports Plus just to use Multiview. Add-ons only matter if you want those add-on channels available in the grid.
Audio, bandwidth, and stream limits
Only the highlighted panel plays audio. The other feeds keep playing video silently. There is no built-in way to hear two games at once.
Multiview uses more bandwidth than a single channel because multiple live feeds are streaming. If Multiview stutters but normal viewing works, your connection may be stretched.
A Multiview session on one device counts as one simultaneous stream for YouTube TV account limits, not four separate streams.
