Adobe cancellation depends on the plan type. The annual plan paid monthly can look like a month-to-month subscription, but it is usually a 12-month commitment with an early termination fee if canceled mid-term.
Does this affect you?
Use this for individual Adobe plans bought directly from Adobe, including Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Lightroom, Acrobat, and similar subscriptions. App Store, Google Play, work, and school plans are canceled differently.
Cancel through your Adobe account
Adobe shows the exact fee, if any, before final confirmation.
- Go to account.adobe.com and sign in.
- Open Plans & Payment.
- Select Manage plan next to the active subscription.
- Choose Cancel plan or Cancel your plan.
- Read the screen that explains what you will lose and whether an early termination fee applies.
- Confirm cancellation only after checking the fee and end date.
- Your paid features usually remain active until the current billing period ends, then the account becomes a free Creative Cloud membership.
More control
Know the 14-day refund window
Adobe generally offers a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of the initial purchase. This refers to the original purchase window, not every monthly renewal on an annual plan.
Check alternatives to the fee
If the early termination fee is the problem, Adobe may offer a switch from annual-paid-monthly to a true monthly plan. The monthly price can be higher, but it may avoid a large lump cancellation fee.
Back up files before storage drops
After cancellation, Creative Cloud storage may drop to the free limit. Download important files before canceling or before the grace period ends so older files do not become inaccessible.
Other billing routes cancel elsewhere
If you subscribed through Apple, Google Play, a workplace, or a school, use that provider or administrator to cancel. Adobe’s self-service page may not show a cancel button for managed licenses.
