Linksys Router IP Address: How to Find and Use It

Finding Linksys router IP address on network settings

Most Linksys routers use 192.168.1.1, but ISP setups, mesh systems, and changed LAN settings can move the address. The most reliable method is checking the connected device default gateway.

Does this affect you?

Use this if you need the Linksys router IP address to log in, change Wi-Fi settings, or troubleshoot from Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android, or the Linksys app.

Find it on Windows

Windows shows the router as the default gateway.

  1. Click the network icon and open the properties for the connected network, or go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Hardware properties.
  2. Look for IPv4 DNS server or Default gateway.
  3. Or open Command Prompt, run ipconfig, and read the Default Gateway line.
  4. Type that address into a browser while connected to the Linksys network.

Find it on Mac

macOS labels it clearly as Router.

  1. Open System Settings or System Preferences.
  2. Go to Network.
  3. Select Wi-Fi or Ethernet and click Details.
  4. Open TCP/IP.
  5. Use the Router field address in your browser.

Find it on iPhone or Android

This is useful when no computer is handy.

  • iPhone: open Settings > Wi-Fi, tap the info button beside the connected network, and read Router under IPv4.
  • Android: open Wi-Fi settings, tap the network or gear icon, and look for Gateway.
  • Linksys app: sign in and open router device details to see the router IP.

More control

Common Linksys addresses

Try 192.168.1.1 first, then 192.168.0.1 if needed. Velop and newer systems may still use 192.168.1.1 but prefer app management.

Make sure you are on the right network

If you have multiple routers or guest networks, your device may be connected through a different gateway. The default gateway you see belongs to the network you are currently using.

Write down changes

If you change the router LAN IP under Local Network or LAN Settings, save the new address somewhere. You will need it for future logins.
