Deleting the Grubhub app from your phone does not delete the account. Grubhub handles account deletion through a web privacy request, not a normal in-app settings button.

Use this for Grubhub accounts on iPhone, Android, and grubhub.com when you want the account and associated data deleted.
Delete your account from grubhub.com
Use a browser for the official deletion request.
- Go to grubhub.com/help/privacy/manage-your-data.
- Choose the option to delete your account and data.
- Select Submit a request.
- Enter the email address on the Grubhub account.
- Open the verification email from Grubhub.
- Click the confirmation link.
- Return to the request flow and confirm Delete.
- Wait for Grubhub’s completion email.
If the option is missing or unavailable
Active account items can block closure.
- Check for active or scheduled orders and wait for them to finish.
- Cancel Grubhub+ separately under Account > Grubhub+ if you have it.
- If the privacy portal still will not allow deletion, contact Grubhub Care through the Help Center and request closure manually.
More control
Use balances and save receipts
Gift card credit and Grubhub+ perks may not transfer or refund after closure. Save order receipts or screenshots before deletion if you need expense or tax records.
Cancel Grubhub+ first
Membership billing is separate enough that you should cancel it before closing the account to avoid confusion.
Inactivity is an option
If you are unsure, cancel Grubhub+, remove saved payment methods, and stop ordering instead of permanently deleting the account.
