ERR_CACHE_MISS usually appears as a Confirm Form Resubmission message after you go back, go forward, or refresh a page that was reached by submitting a form. Chrome is not simply crashing. It is asking before repeating an action that may submit data again.

Use this for Chrome, Edge, and Chromium browsers on Windows or Mac when a page shows ERR_CACHE_MISS, Resend, Confirm, Continue, or Cancel after a search, login, checkout, comment, or other form submission.
Resend or cancel the form
The right button depends on what the original form did.
- Read the warning carefully before clicking anything.
- Choose Resend, Confirm, or Continue only when repeating the action is harmless, such as rerunning a search.
- Choose Cancel if the original action involved a payment, order, post, message, signup, or anything that should not happen twice.
- Instead of using Back or Refresh on form result pages, return through the site menu, a normal link, or the homepage.
Seeing the prompt does not repeat the action by itself. The form is only resent if you approve it.
Fix it when the page fails instead of showing the prompt
Sometimes the browser shows a plain error page instead of the normal resubmission dialog.
- Type the site address directly into the address bar and press Enter instead of using Back, Forward, or Reload.
- If needed, click the lock or site controls icon, open Site settings, and clear stored data for that site.
- Restart the task from the site homepage, such as starting the checkout or search again.
- If many sites show the error, clear Chrome cache from Settings > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data.

Why forms trigger this
Many searches, logins, purchases, and comment forms use POST requests. Browsers deliberately avoid replaying those silently because doing so could duplicate an order, submit a comment twice, or repeat a sensitive action.
Use Cancel when money or posting is involved
If you are unsure whether resubmitting is safe, cancel and restart from the site page. That is slower, but it avoids duplicate purchases or duplicate content.
For website owners
If your own site shows this often, the standard development fix is the Post/Redirect/Get pattern. After a form submits, redirect users to a normal page instead of serving the result directly from the POST response.
