Field Scenario
A technician is remotely diagnosing a customer’s system and, after gathering available data, suspects the actual issue is a failing physical component.
What You Actually Do
- Use available remote diagnostic tools and system information to gather genuine, specific evidence
- Recognize when the evidence points toward a physical issue genuinely beyond remote diagnosis capability
- Communicate honestly that on-site support is likely needed rather than continuing an ineffective remote session
- Respect the customer’s time by recognizing this limit rather than prolonging remote troubleshooting unnecessarily
