Logitech mice usually connect through a USB receiver or Bluetooth. The right fix depends on which connection type your mouse uses, because Unifying, Bolt, and Bluetooth pairing are handled differently.
These steps apply to Logitech wireless mice using USB receivers or Bluetooth on Windows and Mac.

Use this if the mouse will not connect, disconnects repeatedly, appears paired but will not move the cursor, or works on the wrong device.
Fix a USB receiver connection
- Unplug the USB receiver.
- Plug it directly into another USB port on the computer.
- Avoid hubs, docks, and monitor USB ports during testing.
- Install fresh batteries or charge the mouse.
- Make sure the power switch on the bottom is on.
- Turn the mouse off and back on.
- Open Logitech Options+ and re-pair the mouse if needed.
Logitech Unifying and Bolt receivers are not interchangeable. A Bolt mouse needs a Bolt receiver, even if the dongles look similar.
Fix Bluetooth pairing
On Windows:
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
- Remove the mouse if it is listed but disconnected.
- Turn the mouse off and on.
- Hold the pairing button until the LED flashes.
- Choose Add device > Bluetooth and select the mouse.
On Mac:
- Open Apple menu > System Settings > Bluetooth.
- Click the info icon next to the mouse.
- Choose Forget This Device.
- Put the mouse in pairing mode.
- Connect it from Nearby Devices.
Software, battery, and channel checks
Update Logitech Options+ or reinstall the latest version from Logitech if connection problems are intermittent.
A low battery can look like a connection failure. Replace AA or AAA batteries, or charge rechargeable models for at least 15 minutes before testing again.
If the mouse has Easy-Switch buttons, check the selected channel. The mouse may be paired correctly to another computer on channel 1, 2, or 3 while you are trying to use a different one.
