Pinterest password recovery is simple when the account was created with email and you still control that inbox. If you used Facebook or Google to sign up, use that same sign-in button instead of resetting a Pinterest-only password.

Reset your password by email
Use this for accounts created with a normal email and password.
- Open the Pinterest login page.
- Choose Forgot your password.
- Enter the email address associated with the account.
- Check the inbox, spam, and promotions folders for Pinterest’s reset email.
- Open the link and create a password you do not use elsewhere.
- Sign in with the email address and new password.
You signed up with Facebook or Google
A social-login account may not have a separate Pinterest password yet.
- On the Pinterest login page, choose Continue with Facebook or Continue with Google.
- Use the same Facebook or Google account you originally connected.
- If you are locked out of Facebook or Google, recover that account first.
- After signing into Pinterest, open Settings > Password if you want to add a standalone Pinterest password.
More control
Use the exact account email
If no reset email arrives, the address may be misspelled, old, or different from the one on file. Search old inboxes for Pinterest emails to identify the account.
Keep the email updated
Open Settings > Email address after you recover the account. If the email is abandoned, the next password reset may not reach you.
Save the sign-in method
A password manager note saying Pinterest uses Google, Facebook, Apple, or email can prevent the same confusion later. Check Settings > Security and login after recovery if the lockout was unexpected.
