DoorDash Account Deactivated: How to Appeal and Log Back In

A DoorDash deactivation is different from a simple login problem. DoorDash may deactivate Dasher accounts for completion-rate, complaint, safety, or policy reasons, and customer accounts for issues such as payment problems or repeated refund abuse.

Does this affect you?

Use this if the DoorDash or Dasher app says your account has been deactivated, restricted, or disabled on iPhone, Android, or doordash.com.

File an appeal for a deactivated Dasher account

The deactivation notice tells you which appeal path to use.

  1. Find the email DoorDash sent about the deactivation and read the reason carefully.
  2. If the Dasher app shows an appeal option in the deactivation notice, submit the appeal there.
  3. If the email links to a specific appeal form, use that link instead of searching for a random form online.
  4. Write directly about the issue DoorDash listed, such as completion rate, a customer report, safety concern, or policy violation.
  5. Attach relevant proof, such as screenshots, delivery photos, message history, receipts, or a concise explanation of a misunderstanding.
  6. Submit the appeal and allow about 1 to 2 weeks for review. Repeated support contacts do not normally speed it up.
  7. Appeals may be available for up to 1 year after deactivation. If denied, another appeal may require waiting 90 days.

Your account was hacked, not deactivated by DoorDash

Treat unauthorized access as a separate security issue.

  1. If you can still sign in, change the password immediately from account settings.
  2. Use a password you do not use on any other service.
  3. Review payment methods, order history, earnings, payout details, and delivery history for anything unfamiliar.
  4. If you cannot sign in, use Forgot Password from the sign-in screen.
  5. Contact DoorDash through the app or help.doordash.com and describe the account as compromised rather than only deactivated.

More control

Appeals should answer the notice

A strong appeal responds to the specific incident or metric DoorDash cited. A generic request to review the account is much weaker than a factual explanation with evidence.

Do not make another account to evade review

Creating a new Dasher or customer account while the original is under review can be treated as evasion and may make reinstatement harder.

Keep a paper trail

Save the deactivation email, appeal text, attachments, case numbers, and replies. If a second appeal becomes possible later, a clear record helps you show what changed.
