Disney+ Account Hacked? How to Recover and Secure It

A compromised Disney+ account can affect Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ if they share the same Disney account login. Secure it quickly if the password changed, unfamiliar profiles appeared, or billing details changed.

Does this affect you?

Use this for Disney+ accounts, including Disney Bundle accounts that share one sign-in across Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+.

You can still sign in: secure it yourself

Do these steps immediately.

  1. Go to disneyplus.com and sign in.
  2. Open Account and change the password to one you have not used elsewhere.
  3. Choose Log Out of All Devices so every active session, including the intruder’s, must sign in again.
  4. Review Who’s Watching and delete profiles you did not create.
  5. Check Billing Details for plan changes, payment changes, or charges you did not authorize.
  6. Turn on two-step verification under Account or Security settings if available.

You are locked out entirely

Use Disney’s reset and support paths.

  1. On the sign-in screen, choose Forgot Password.
  2. Use the email address tied to the Disney account and follow the reset prompts.
  3. If the email or password was changed and the reset does not reach you, contact Disney+ Help through live chat or the support form.
  4. Be ready to verify the account with name, billing address, payment details, or recent charges.
  5. Once access is restored, complete all the security steps from the previous section.

More control

Dispute unauthorized charges

If the plan changed or a charge appeared without permission, contact Disney support and also notify the bank or card issuer if the charge reached your card. Save dates and confirmation emails.

Check the whole bundle

Because Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ may use the same login, inspect Hulu profiles and account activity too. A password change and device sign-out should apply broadly, but it is worth checking.

Protect profiles and other accounts

Use parental-control PINs where appropriate, and change the same password anywhere else you reused it. Reused leaked passwords are a common cause of streaming account takeovers.
