When you allow pop-ups for a site in Chrome or Edge, that permission is saved as a site exception. Over time, the allow list can collect old sites, one-time exceptions, or pages that later start opening more pop-ups than you want.

Use this for Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on Windows or Mac when you want to review which sites can show pop-ups and redirects, remove one from the allowed list, or clean up old exceptions.
Find and edit the allowed sites list in Chrome
Chrome shows allowed and blocked pop-up exceptions on the same settings page.
- Click the three-dot menu and open Settings.
- Choose Privacy and security.
- Open Site settings.
- Open Pop-ups and redirects.
- Look under Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects.
- Use the trash icon or three-dot menu beside any site you want to remove.
After removal, that site returns to Chrome default pop-up blocking behavior.
Find and edit the allowed sites list in Edge
Edge uses nearly the same structure.
- Click the three-dot menu and open Settings.
- Choose Cookies and site permissions.
- Open Pop-ups and redirects.
- Look under Allow.
- Remove sites you no longer want allowed.
More control
Change one site from the address bar
Visit the site, click the lock, tune, or information icon near the address, open Site settings or Permissions, and change Pop-ups and redirects back to Block or Ask.
There is no simple clear-all button
Chrome and Edge usually require removing pop-up exceptions one by one. Resetting all site permissions can clear a long list faster, but it also resets camera, microphone, location, notification, and other site permissions.
A site can ask again
Removing a site from the allow list does not stop it from asking again later. If the permission returns, someone using the browser likely clicked Allow on a fresh prompt.
