Firefox homepage settings control what opens in a new window or when you click the Home button. You can use Firefox Home, a blank page, or one or more custom websites. If the homepage keeps changing back, an extension or hijacker is usually interfering.

Use this for Firefox on Windows or Mac when Firefox opens to the wrong page, you want a blank startup, or you want a specific site such as email or news to open as your homepage.
Set your homepage in Firefox Settings
This is the normal homepage control and saves automatically.
- Click the three-line Firefox menu.
- Open Settings.
- Choose Home from the left sidebar.
- Under Homepage and new windows, choose Firefox Home, Custom URLs, or Blank Page.
- If you choose Custom URLs, type or paste the website address and press Enter.
- Close the Settings tab.
Firefox Home shows Firefox default shortcuts and top sites. Blank Page opens faster and shows no content. Custom URLs can open your chosen website.
Fix a homepage that keeps changing back
If the setting does not stick, remove the thing controlling it.
- Open the Firefox menu.
- Choose Add-ons and themes.
- Open Extensions.
- Remove extensions you do not recognize or did not install.
- Set the homepage again under Settings > Home.
- If it still changes, scan the computer with Windows Security or Malwarebytes and remove unwanted software.

Open multiple homepage tabs
In Custom URLs, add more than one page if you want Firefox to open several tabs at startup. You can also open the tabs you want first, then use Use Current Pages.
Homepage and new tab are separate
The homepage controls new windows and the Home button. The New Tabs setting farther down the Home page controls what appears when you click the plus button.
Repeat on each device
Firefox homepage settings are per device. Firefox Sync does not automatically make every computer use the same homepage.
