Good Lock is Samsung official customization app for Galaxy phones. It is not a third-party hack; it is a Samsung-made hub that installs separate modules for lock screen, Home Screen, multitasking, notifications, and more.
These steps apply to Samsung Galaxy phones with One UI. Good Lock is Samsung-only and not available for other Android brands.
Does This Affect You?
Use this if you want customizations that regular Settings does not offer, such as different app drawer layouts, lock-screen widgets, extra gestures, or notification tools.
Install Good Lock
- Open the Galaxy Store.
- Search for Good Lock.
- Install the official Samsung Electronics app.
- Open Good Lock.
- Review the available modules and their descriptions.
The main Good Lock app is mostly a launcher. You need at least one module to make visible changes.
Install a Module
- Tap a module inside Good Lock, such as Home Up or LockStar.
- Tap Install.
- After it downloads from Galaxy Store, open it from Good Lock.
- Adjust that module toggles, sliders, or layout options.
- Preview the change on the Home Screen, lock screen, or related area.
Common Modules to Try
- Home Up customizes the Home Screen and app drawer.
- LockStar changes lock-screen widgets and shortcuts.
- Nice Catch helps track recent notifications and system events you might have missed.
- Routine+ expands Samsung automation with extra triggers and actions.
Compatibility and Removal
Good Lock modules are updated often and may depend on model, chipset, region, and One UI version. If a module will not install, check its Galaxy Store description. Each module is its own app, so you can uninstall one without removing the rest.
