Samsung One UI can show glanceable widgets on the lock screen, such as weather, calendar, music controls, alarms, battery, and supported Samsung app widgets. This lets you check quick information without fully unlocking the phone.
These steps apply to Samsung Galaxy phones running One UI 5 or later. Available widget styles vary by model and One UI version.

Use this if you want useful information above or near the lock screen clock, or if you are looking for the Samsung version of lock screen widgets.
Add Lock Screen Widgets
- Touch and hold an empty area of the Lock screen, or open Settings > Lock screen.
- Tap Widgets.
- Tap Add widgets or the plus button.
- Browse options such as Weather, Calendar, Music, Alarm, Battery, Samsung Health, and other supported widgets.
- Tap a widget to add it and choose a size or style if offered.
- Tap Done to save.
Widgets appear on the lock screen where One UI allows them. If you add more than one, you may be able to swipe through them depending on the layout.
Rearrange or Remove Widgets
- Return to Settings > Lock screen > Widgets.
- Touch and hold a widget preview.
- Drag it to change the order.
- To remove one, tap the minus icon or drag it to the remove area.
- Tap Done to keep the changes.
Other Lock Screen Options
Music Controls
The Music widget appears when media is playing and gives quick play, pause, and skip controls without opening the app.
Bottom Shortcuts
Samsung also lets you change the two shortcut icons in the bottom lock screen corners, often camera and flashlight. Look under Settings > Lock screen > Shortcuts.
Home Screen Widgets Are Separate
If you meant normal Home Screen widgets, touch and hold an empty Home Screen area and tap Widgets. That is a different menu from lock screen widgets.
Pixel and Motorola Differ
Stock Android phones such as Pixel use lock screen customization under Wallpaper & style and generally offer fewer widget-style options than Samsung One UI.
